    Scientists split water with Sun for cheaper renewable energy

    The process of photosynthesis that goes on in nature has been copied artificially by a group of Australian-American scientists. The new process, which splits water into hydrogen and oxygen, could some day make it much less expensive to produce hydrogen as a renewable energy source.
